Skywatch Friday: Rain Clouds over Komodo Island, Indonesia

Stormy rain clouds over the island of Komodo in Indonesia. On our tour to see the Komodo Dragons, we were provided with plastic ponchos as it is a rainforest and tropical rainfalls happen very suddenly on the island, it also is very muddy so you have to watch your footing when walking.

Skywatch Friday: Tarbat Ness Lighthouse, Portmahomac

Taken in 2006 with my Canon ixus ( aka SD30) compact camera. Tarbat Ness lighthouse stands on a point of land just north west of the seaside town of Portmahomac in the highland region of Scotland. The lighthouse like many of the Northern Lighthouse Board lighthouses was built by Robert Stevenson.
