Camera Critters: Small Waders on Princess Cays Island
Taken early morning at the Princess Cruises® private resort on the Island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas on Christmas Eve, these small waders ( unsure what breed they are) were wandering around the beach, possibly looking for worms or other sand creatures to eat.

Ooh, I am so jealous! The Bahamas no less. I LOVED my visit there, but it has been a few years. What a neat photo!
Thanks Linda, this was my first time seeing this Island but, I had been to the Bahamas before back in 1994. It was nice going there at Christmas too. Thanks for visiting:)
The Turnstones are beautiful shorebirds. Always wonderful sights to see at the beach. Great shot, have a wonderful weekend!
@eileeninmd: I wondered what they were, little sweeties. Thanks for letting me know:)
Lovely little birds!
Ahhhh that sand and sun look so inviting!
I love the little shore birds with the long legs. They are always so much fun to watch. Lovely shot!
Very nice photo.
Regards and best wishes
Gee the white sand confused me I thought ir was snow!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Looks a little like heaven to me.
I love those little birds. I've never been to the Bahamas before. I miss walking on the beach and feeling the warm sand slip through my toes and to be somewhere as nice as the Bahamas, now that would be lovely!
Fantastic light in this image. And I've been on this cruise before!
