Night Shot Monday: Christmas Lights in Rainy Glasgow

DSCN5002

Night shot of the Christmas lights in Glasgow's George Square on a rainy evening a couple of weeks ago, I used my camera's self timer to get a sharper image hand-held.

These night shots with lights added are always a challenge to photograph especially when it rains. Despite it all the sparkle of the evening came through. I’ve always liked reflections on rain drenched streets. :)

Breathtaking night shot! Yes, the image is so sharp. Love the colors and the reflections on the wet road. Thanks for your visit.

@ Penelope: i love rain drenched streets, they are very photogenic especially at night. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to put on my gorilla pod so I used the self timer handheld, this eliminated any shake that probably would of occurred ( although I have anti shake) had I pressed the shutter button without it.

@stardust: You're welcome, thanks too:)

That's a great night shot and certainly not easy handheld.

It would be strange if Glasgow wasn't rainy :)
