Wordless Wednesday :Offering Basket Weavers, Ubud, Bali [2014]

One of the young women whom create the "offering" baskets in Ubud, which are burnt in kilns around the temples. The baskets consist mostly of flowers and banana leaves, at one point we were near the temple and a gust of wind blew most of the contents that they were trying to put into the baskets away from the area that the weavers were sitting on.

Camera Critters: Sleeping Dog, Bali [2014]

This Dog was taken some R + R on one of the plinths near the shrines in the courtyard complex of the Art Gallery. Behind the gallery were domestic apartments, and aside from burning banana leaves, you could smell asian cooking.

Mellow Yellow Monday: Golden Balinese Figure, Bali

This is one of two Balinese dancer statues on display outside a very exotic hotel named The Royal Pita Maha in Bali, where my sister and I had our lunch provided for the tour group. I photographed both of them, this is the lower figurine and both are stunningly painted with gold.

Wordless Wednesday: Rice Planting in Bali, Indonesia

Man planting rice in the paddy fields on the island on Bali. Rice is a staple food in Indonesia and takes 3 months to grow, the men plant the rice and it is harvested by the women.

Skywatch Friday: Stormy Skies Over Bali, Indonesia

These clouds were taken early morning on our second day in Bali, it was very very humid so I took it from inside our cabin to avoid the lens steaming up.
