That looks old with all the Verdigris on it
@Bill Nicholls : I think it has been there for many years, thanks for visiting :)
I love the way it has weathered.
You have to know that in Italy we do know Felice Cavallotti much more as a patriot - since he followed Garibaldi's ideals - than as a poet, thank you for writing it today, you taught something new to me!
Thanking you for writing such a lovely comment on ~ My little old world ~ too, I sincerely appreciate it, I'm sending all my best to you.
P.S. you've such a beautiful blog and I'm your most recent follower!
XOXO Daniela
You've captured the color and texture of the plaque beautifully.
Great patina. It all shows up so well in your photo.
@Daniela: Thank you very much, and you're welcome-thanks for visiting :)
A wonderful image and memory too.
Best, Synnöve
Very Nice memorial plaque !
Visited Scotland last year and had a great time. There were lots of plaques and statues of old poets and other historic types. Things aren't so old here in the US, so not so much of that sort of stuff.
It looks like it has been there quite a long time.
