Weekend In Black and White: Rome Protest [2017]

DSC_1596.jpg

When we arrived in Rome this summer, we stumbled across a demonstration whilst flitting between the museums in the city and trying to keep cool in the heatwave that the city was experiencing so early in the year. The protest was about the privatisation of public transport, they were complete with megaphones, loud Italian rap and balloons. This is a black and white rendition of two photographs I managed to capture of the people when they went by, whilst staying within the shade.

Obviously even a heatwave doesn't calm the Italian temperament! Great street photography.

street demonstrations ... something that is likely to be more and more frequent because there are too many social regressions. Nice picture

Wonderful monochrome shot of demonstration.

Good for them, privatization is the key to everyone paying more money and services being worse and few wealthy people making more money
