The Weekend In Black and White: Portrait of an Old Man, Istanbul
This old turkish man who must of been in his 80's ( at the very least)was sitting on the pavements outside the shops with his shoe shining materials on the streets near the Grand Bazaar. At one point one of the shop owners asked him to remove the many cigarette butts that littered the pavement outside their shops, whilst we were waiting for the coach and the rest of our tour group, I photographed him literally from the hip ( I own a Black Rapid strap now ).

Excellent portrait! What a great photo.
lovely portrait
Wonderful portrait.
The face and his hands speak of a life of hardship. A very good respectful portrait.
Beautiful!
Very cool photo, Jane. I think he would've liked it a lot, too.
That is a fantastic portrait. I noticed that we shoot with the same camera! My lenses are the 35 1.8 and the Sigma 18-250 with macro.
Thanks everyone!
@ chai: His hands were all covered in the polish and he walked with a hunched back and a walking stick, I felt sorry for him.
@ abrianna: That's cool, what's the Sigma lens like?
That's a great casual portrait, I love it. I also have a Black Rapid strap and think it's wonderful, I'll never go back to an around-the-neck strap.
@ Al: totally agree, I would never do that either-so uncomfortable. Thanks for visiting :)
hard to believe this work still exist. Interesting image.
Beautiful portrait!
