Camera Critters: Bee Gathering Honey

Macro shot of a Bee gathering nectar from a Thistle down the road, which I took last week when we had a brief bout of sunny weather prior to our brush with Hurricane Katia.

Skywatch Friday: Inferno Sunset

Taken on August 28th.

This sunset was so spectacular I took 6 photographs of it and the cloud formations as they passed over our garden, this probably one of our best ones yet I think. I used Landscape scene mode to shoot them, normally I would use the Sunset one, however that was a little too red in colour for this and the camera wouldn't focus in Automatic so I chose the infinity focus mode.
