I managed to capture one of these seaplanes, there were 3 pilots showing off and flying over Cap Ferrat and back, whilst our ship was anchored off Villefranche.

Capturing seaplanes can be quite a challenge! :))
I think anything that moves is a challenge, luckily I captured this one that was lagging behind the others before he went past our ship. Thanks for your visit EG:)
Nice shot, with good DOF too!..... happy skywatch!...:)
Nice shot. We saw a few seaplanes when we were in Vancouver, I have a photo of one landing that I need to post. But we don't get them here in Colorado!
A great shot Jane. The plane looks as though it is just suspended there.
nice shot
happy SWF
@ whatandysees:Thanks Andy, I think I zoomed in a bit if I recall.
@ Al: I bet that made a nice shot Al, I don't suppose Colorado has the need for them though. I like your waterfall shot in your avatar.
@ Karen: Yes it does a bit, I like the way a camera can "stop" things.
@ Jidhu: Thanks:)
Lucky you to catch this plane:)
Thanks Emille, like your butterfly:)
