Todays Flowers: Red Ginger Flower and Ant

DSCN1878

DSCN1879

I captured these when my sister and I were visiting The Raffles hotel in Singapore, unfortunately the hotel was fully booked for Afternoon Tea so we were not able to go in. However I took some great shots of their gardens, I found out these were Ginger Flowers last week and I managed to capture an Ant on one of them in macro.

@ Eileen: the Ant is in the top image, he is on the petals. I captured him by accident.

Perfect captures! The sublime and the mundane all in one. The color of the blossoms is gorgeous.

Lovely blooms. You could still have gone to the Raffels' bar and had a Singapore sling, well maybe a G&T, the sling is too icky sweet.
