Camera Critters: Grey Squirrel in Pollok Park

DSCN3836

DSCN3838

He was foraging outside for the nuts being dropped from bird feeders on the trees in the park, since he was behind the glass outside of the museum, I used Landscape Scene Mode to minimise some reflections.

Nice photos, your landscape mode worked, I didn't notice any reflections.

@ eileen:I know, such sweeties. We saw a baby one last month on the fencing opposite-should of been hibernating.

@Iowa: Landscape uses infinity focus so its good to use behind glass also. I had my camera lens right up to the glass too, I captured a few shots of him with my "subject tracking mode" too, which is known as "kids" on flickr.

Thanks for visiting everyone:)

If there's anything a squirrel loves, it's birdfeeders. LOL

@ Kay, yes they love anything like that, we once stayed in this chalet in Cumbria's Skiddaw Forest, and this Red Squirrel ( these are rare these days)came onto our balcony. We gave him some of those old fashioned peanuts with the red skins on them and raisins. We still have the photos in an album somewhere. They have a Black Breed up here in Scotland too.

I never thought of using landscape mode. Great tip! Love the squirrel.

Thanks BJ, yes landscape mode can be used on seascapes, landscapes, skyscapes, behind glass, and from airplane windows ( unless your camera has an aircraft scene mode).
