Blog For My Photography
Jane: What a neat herd of cows you captured.BTW: The squirrels do hibernate but come out on nice days to pick up some fresh food.
Thanks Crafty Gardener and FG:) I thought they did hibernate-naturally they would want to re-stock over the winter when the weather is calmer. Great shots of him, he was a sweetie:)
Great shot, they sure do have their winter coats grown in!
Not a lot of cows in my 'hood.I played too :)
Very nice. Next time maybe you should take along some cow snacks. :P
A lovely pastural scene!Just noticed Fishing Guy's comment. There are two kinds of squirrels - ground squirrels and tree squirrels. The ground squirrels will hiberate and come out every few weeks. The tree squirrels are active all year but will stay in their nests to conserve body heat when it's really cold. That's why we don't see them as often in the winter.
What a lovely cows!
Love your cow photo!
Thanks everyone:) I will check out your post Teena soon:) I think these cows have plenty of food, but its kind of sad when they come up to you thinking you have something.
Love their fur or hides or whatever you call them - they look so warm - on them!
Yes they do look cozy and "looked after", thanks for visiting Valerie:)
the cows are beautiful ,not so "sick " as owers .they live here mainly in shelters .not good , i think .
Thanks rennschnecke:) no that isn't good at all:(
Wonderful view of these cows on the move ... lovely skies too ;-)Hugs and blessings,
We have the same here with cows coming to see what you're doing. Your herd look very healthy, great shot.
Cows are such inquisitive creatures aren't they? Love your photo - the sky is beautiful!
@ Small Reflections, Chris and Jabblog: Yes such lovely creatures, thanks for visiting:)
How cool, we both had cows! Love the lighting in yours!
Nice shots Jane its good to see lots of cows grazing the fields again. It was awful to see the BSE crisis on the telly a few years ago, but at least lessons may have been learnt. I like cows but I REALLY get the willy's if I'm walking in the same field and they start walking/trotting over to me :-0
good of you to provide some interest in their dull winter lives!
