Beautiful red hibiscus! I have always loved the tropical look of hibiscus, but they don't grow so well here in the desert.

Thanks Diane, maybe they need a certain type of soil to grow them, they are lovely flowers though.

I love hibiscus. I had them around my pool when we lived in FL. There are so many varieties and colors of them! Your photo is lovely!

Each red flower is small, yet stand out spectacularly in the sea of green. Subtle rubies, the flowers are bold and beautiful!

Beautiful and quite "ruby". We grow hibiscus in pots for our iguanas, plus all the ones in the yard. This year I found a new one at our native plant nursery - called Scarlet Hibiscus - grows in water. Amazing. Thanks. B : )

I always think of hummingbirds when I see a hibiscus...they always went for my mom's when it was blooming.

I love Hibiscus. Have grown them in the desert but they were in pots and needed pampering. HRT

we have plenty of hibiscus here in our country too. They are so beautiful, too bad they're not that scenty.. by the way, it has some antibiotic effects on wounds..

Jane said...

Yes I do believe they are a favorite of the Hummingbirds or the "Jewels of the Air". Thanks everyone for your comments:)
